Introducing the Citroën Berlingo Van

Citroen Berlingo In Red Side Angle Parked

Citroën knows a thing or two when it comes to building vans, what with the French giants having sold millions of Berlingo vans since its introduction in 1996.

It's now time for the popular Berlingo van to enter its fourth generation, bringing more technology and better safety into the mix. As the ideal workmate for professionals, take a look at what the latest Berlingo Van can offer you on a daily basis.

Payload and Capacity

Citroen Berlingo Load Space

The latest Citroën Berlingo Van offers a unique blend between robustness and neat exterior styling, meaning you can make a positive impression on your clients without compromising everyday usability.

Despite being Citroën's smallest in the range, Berlingo Van can haul plenty of weight (up to 984kg payload), while offering outstanding levels of storage space (up to 4.4m3).

There are also multiple versions of the Berlingo van to choose from, including an 'M' and 'XL' version, allowing you to choose and specify the perfect Berlingo to suit you and your business, as not all jobs are the same.

Technology and Safety

It's been a brillaint workhorse for generations, so it's no surprise to see the latest Citroën Berlingo Van full of decent standard technology and safety features.

You can choose between the entry-level 'Enterprise' spec, along with a mid-range 'Enterprise-Plus' and range-topping 'Driver' trim.

The usual air conditioning, rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, Lane Keep Assist and Driver Attention Alert all come as standard, but if you want a slightly plusher Berlingo, the 'Enterprise-Plus' trim adds in a 10-inch digital instrument cluster along with a 10-inch colour touchscreen.

Range-topping 'Driver' spec adds in Dynamic Surround View - which includes a digital rear view mirror, blind spot, front and rear park assist, and a reverse camera with top rear vision - all aiding safety further.

Economy and Performance

Simplicity can describe the engines on offer in the Citroën Berlingo, which is what you want when you're picking the perfect workhorse. You have a choice between a pair of diesel engines or a fully electric version when opting for the ë-Berlingo.

The diesel engines come in the form of a 'BlueHDi 100' or a 'BlueHDi 130'. They are both a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder unit, with varying power levels, which are 102bhp and 131bhp respectively, offering plenty of punch for getting the job done.

You'll see up to 54mpg in the 'BlueHDi 100' or for the more powerful 'BlueHDi 130', you'll see up to 46mpg.
