The Ford Ranger Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) blends power, efficiency, and versatility for those who need a tough, high-performing vehicle with the benefits of electrification.
As Ford's first plug-in hybrid pick-up, it sits within the popular Ranger range, providing both business and adventure-ready performance. Its robust design and capability, paired with advanced features like the Terrain Management System and Pro Power Onboard, make it a standout for those needing power with lower running costs.
The new Ranger Plug-in Hybrid has a payload capacity of 1,000kg, making it ideal for carrying large and heavy items for work or leisure.
Range and Performance
The Ford Ranger Plug-in Hybrid features a 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine that combined with a 75kW electric motor, delivers 277bhp and 207 lb ft of torque. This hybrid powertrain offers an electric-only range of up to 26 miles, ideal for emissions-free urban driving. It provides multiple drive modes, including petrol, electric, and a combination of the two for efficiency and performance needs.
The Ranger Plug-in Hybrid offers a six-speed automatic gearbox for smooth and responsive driving. It also provides up to 3,500kg towing capacity, ensuring it maintains the rugged capabilities expected from a Ford Ranger.
Charging
The Ford Ranger Plug-in Hybrid offers convenient charging options for everyday use. It features a 7.2kW onboard charger, allowing it to fully charge from 0 to 100 percent in approximately four hours using a dedicated home charging point. The vehicle can also be charged via a standard 230V home socket, though this may take longer.
