Introducing the new Ford E-Transit Courier
Popular in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment, the E-Transit Courier has gained notoriety for combining efficiency and practicality with modern onboard technology.
While known as a compact van, the E-Transit Courier is anything but small on the inside. With a total cargo volume of 2.9 m³, it can accommodate two Euro pallets at floor level. It offers a maximum payload of up to 689 kg and a standard cargo load length of 1.8m, making it ideal for urban deliveries.
The cabin is designed to provide a car-like experience, featuring a digital dashboard and a range of safety features, including adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.
Range and Performance
Equipped with an all-electric powertrain, the 100kW motor produces 132bhp and delivers 213ft lbs of torque. This combination offers excellent power for a compact van, especially useful in urban environments where quick acceleration is essential for navigating stop-and-go traffic.
The E-Transit Courier has a towing capacity of 750kg, making it ideal for transporting small to medium-sized items, such as light machinery and garden equipment.
With an electric range of 181 miles (as tested under the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure, or WLTP), the Ford E-Transit Courier delivers impressive efficiency and practicality for everyday city deliveries.
Charging
Equipped with a 43 kWh battery, the E-Transit Courier offers an impressive electric range, enhancing productivity by eliminating the need for mid-day charging.
The van includes a Type 2 charging cable, specifically designed for Alternating Current (AC) charging. This allows for convenient recharging at both public charging stations and at home. Using an 11kW AC wallbox, the battery can be charged from 0 to 100 percent in just over five and a half hours, which is perfect for overnight charging.
Fast charging is also available with Direct Current (DC), although a CCS cable is required. With 100kW DC charging, the van can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 23 minutes.
Drivers can charge at home, work, or public charging stations, with access to the BlueOval Charge Network.
