Introducing the new MGS5 EV
Coming in Spring 2025, the MGS5 will be MG's latest all-new fully electric SUV.
It will be built on the cutting-edge Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), ensuring an elevated and impressive driving experience. With MG's current range of exciting and practical SUVs, full of great standard specification and style, the MGS5 promises to complement the models on offer and further cement MG's impressive showcase of models to cater to multiple lifestyles.
Design and Practicality
From MG's teaser shots, the MGS5 looks like it will be another fine addition to the impressive MG SUV range, which includes electric and internal combustion offerings.
Sitting alongside the MG4 and MG ZS, the MGS5 looks to be a more extensive offering, looking to add even more practicality and allowing buyers a full width of choice in the MG range.
There promises to also be a completely reimagined premium cabin, meaning the MGS5 will look to raise the refinement and feel of this brand-new MG, again adding to MG's already impressive lineup on new vehicles and tempting buyers with this newer, updated, and polished interior.
Interior, Technology, and Safety
With MG expressing how the MGS5 EV will feature a completely reimaged premium cabin, we expect a fully digital experience to be enjoyed in this cutting-edge SUV.
There is no official word on specifications, but again, MG SUVs tend to offer a fine array of standard technology and safety, so we expect to see things like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with multiple driver assistance and safety features to ensure the MGS5 conforms to ever-changing safety standards.
Engines and Performance
There is no official word on the battery and electric motor specifications as of yet, but from looking at MG's other electric SUVs, the MGS5 promises a decent electric range, along with the possibility of exciting performance to match.
In a world where SUVs are hugely popular, the MGS5 will look to stand out, and with a promised reimagined premium cabin, you would expect a healthy amount of performance to match.
Charging
There is no official word on charging as of yet, but we would expect rapid charging capability, along with more familiar charging such as overnight and wallbox charging availability.
