The Lexus RC is a 2-door, 4-seat coupé that offers sharp exterior looks and a smooth driving experience, making it a good option within the Lexus range.
Whilst not quite as dynamic as other well-known German rivals, the RC offers a ride that feels well-refined and composed. The most common powertrain is a 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid that produces 220bhp and a 0 to 62mph time of 8.6 seconds. There's a less-common, traditional petrol engine to be found, as well as a BMW M4-rivalling RC F variant that comes with a fruity 471bhp V8 engine.
The interior quality is what you'd expect from a Lexus; luxurious and very well-built. Entry-level facelifted models (late 2018 onwards) come generously-equipped with tech such as a 10.3-inch display and satellite navigation, whilst higher specifications offer a Mark Levinson® premium sound system and heated front seats.
Whilst it has space for four passengers, taller adults may find it a bit of a squeeze in the back. The RC's hybrid battery pack also limits boot space to 366 litres, which is less than what some rivals have to offer. Insurance ranges between groups 31 and 46 (out of 50), and low-cost servicing and maintenance can be carried out at your nearest Evans Halshaw dealership.
