On sale in the UK from 2018, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is perhaps the most polished SUV from the Japanese manufacturer, before the brand pulled out of UK sales altogether in late 2021.
This last hurrah was a valiant effort in all honesty, with a not too shabby 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 161bhp; it's pretty good with more than enough poke. 40mpg is possible which is still lagging behind other small SUVs, but it's not bad.
Interior quality is perhaps the best we have seen from Mitsubishi, with a decent layout and although it still has analogue dials, they are sharp and go well with the digital infotainment display. A 341-litre boot isn't anything to write home abut but it will suit the weekly shop and a few suitcases easily enough.
