The sixth generation Mitsubishi Mirage is a small supermini which was first introduced in 2012.
Available in 3-door and 5-door, the Mirage can be found with either a 1.0-litre or 1.2-litre petrol engine. Neither are going to set the world alight for pace, but what you lack in performance, you gain in economy with over 50mpg possible.
Despite the small proportions, the Mirage offers plenty of interior space. The 5-door models are even more practical for those wanting a supermini that's cheap to run. Interior quality and kit is okay but it's starting to show its age against newer and funkier rivals like the Toyota Aygo.
A 235-litre boot is plenty for a car of this size and most should be able to get comfy, although long journeys are much more pleasant in rival's offerings. The Mirage’s dashboard vibe is starting to feel its age, but it’s ergonomically laid-out, easy to use and feels typically robust.
