The Subaru Outback is a practical family car that's ideal if you live in the countryside, or if you regularly tackle challenging road surfaces.
Engine choice is somewhat limited, with only a 2.5-litre petrol engine available that produces 173bhp. The engine is paired to a CVT automatic and four-wheel drive, so while the Outback isn't rapid (0 to 62mph takes 10.2 seconds), it's very good for mild off-roading.
