Used Toyota Avensis

The Toyota Avensis is a mid-size family car that was sold in the UK until 2018. Used Avensis models can be found in both saloon and estate bodystyles.

Final generation examples of the Avensis can predominantly found with either a diesel engine and a manual gearbox, although some petrol autos are out there. The 2.0d is the best balance of performance and efficiency, but you should look out for the 1.6d if you want maximum economy.

The Avensis provides a quiet and comfortable ride, with plenty of space both up front and in the back. Interior build quality is as you would expect from Toyota, with materials that are designed primarily to be long-lasting rather than outright nice.

Both the saloon and estate are practical cars, with 509 litres of boot capacity in the saloon, rising to 543 litres in the estate. The Avensis was replaced by the larger Camry, which has also gone out of production. Other alternative Toyota family cars include the hybrid Prius and, Auris and Corolla.
