Design and Practicality
The design of the Vauxhall Vivaro Life Electric takes the foundations of the previous Vivaro Life and enhances the appearance subtly and neatly, giving this sophisticated people mover a more polished overall look.
What's more, the Vivaro Life Electric is available in two lengths, consisting of the standard 4.96m variant, or in an XL form, which increases to just over 5.3m. The XL looks to offer enhanced passenger legroom within the second and third rows.
General load space is also excellent, with a load volume of up to 1,500 litres when all nine seats are in use. However, if only five seats are used there's up to 3,000 litres of space. A van-like 4,200 or 4,900 litres with two or three people on board, depending on the version, is also possible.
Technology and Safety
Technology has been enhanced further too, with the New Vivaro Life Electric, and now comes as standard with a crisp 10-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, with wireless smartphone mirroring and Vauxhall Connect, which can be used conveniently via voice recognition.
Complementing the digital, sophisticated cabin is a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, which goes together perfectly with the infotainment screen, with both playing a vital part in the overall enhancement of the cabin. Range and Performance
With the name Vauxhall Vivaro Life Electric, there are no prizes for guessing what powers this refined people mover. The internal combustion engine has been replaced by an impressive electric motor and battery pairing.
The Vivaro Life Electric is available with a 75kWh battery and 136bhp electric motor, providing a range of up to 217 miles (WLTP). A 50kWh battery is also available for Vivaro Life Electric Combi and Combi XL with a range of 139 miles (WLTP). To further increase energy-efficiency, the Vivaro Life Electric has three levels of regenerative braking, which can be adjusted using paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel.
Ultimately, the electric nature of the car improves its overall refinement and experience factor, allowing for a more comfortable ownership experience.
Charging
The Vivaro Life Electric benefits from a 7.4kW on-board charger as standard, whilst you can also option an 11kW charger, too. Of course, there are multiple charging options, depending on chosen method or set-up.
For example, if you're charging your Vivaro Life Electric via a 100kW DC rapid charging station, the 50kWh battery version can be charged up to 80 percent of its capacity in around 38 minutes, whilst if you're charging the 75kWh battery, it will take around 45 minutes.
It's also worth noting that the Vauxhall Vivaro Life Electric has three levels of regenerative braking, helping keep the battery range topped up.
